Curriculum v2

The Doctoral Program in History at Diponegoro University currently has seven faculty members, six of whom are Professors in maritime history, historiography, cultural history, social history, and other fields. With the strength of these resources, the Doctoral Program in History not only develops classroom-based teaching but also supports superior research in Maritime History and Global Interaction.

The curriculum of the Doctoral Program in History is based on graduate learning outcomes, study materials, and course content. To meet graduate competencies, the course material for each course is structured consistently and reflects the strategic orientation of the study program, adapting to the latest developments in science, technology, and the Internet of Things-based arts. To enhance research experience and competency, students are involved in faculty research, source search practices at the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia and the National Library of Indonesia, historical source search training through online platforms provided by archive and documentation centers, manuscript clinical training, and are required to present at national seminars and international seminars/conferences. The curriculum design of the Undip History Doctoral Study Program strives to integrate theory and practice. Through research-based teaching, students first acquire concepts and theories presented in the course. The research dialectic developed by lecturers and students then shapes the structure of dissertation research proposals and published articles. Through the PSDS FIB UNDIP curriculum, theory and practice have been systematically structured to meet advanced and specialized competencies. Theoretical studies and their practical application complement each other through the implementation of Student-Centered Learning (SCL).
